The best way to decide which cover is most suitable for you is by measuring the hole in the ground that is being covered. This corresponds with the clear opening size. The T1G3 is recessed for concrete or screed infill. It has a 5 tonne gross plated weight load bearing capacity, making it suitable for pedestrian areas. This cover has built-in lifting keys.

The T1G3 fits square or round chambers and it's ridged adaptor can be cut to suit the chamber, starting at 220mm up to 300mm. Sealed and locking manhole covers are the new equivalent to double sealed.

As per the Building Regulations 2000, internal manhole covers have to be air tight but a single or double seal is not specified. All of our recessed T-Range covers feature a rubber gasket seal and a screw-locking function. Common applications for sealed and locking covers are internal rooms, tiled floors, patios, playgrounds and suchlike.
