All types of Bio-Plas filter media provide large surface areas for good bacteria to colonise and this increases the efficiency of a box, pressure or multi-bay pond filter. Bio-Plas Medias provide the maximum active surface area for the bacteria to colonise, much more than other types of static media. It is this process which removes harmful ammonia and nitrite from the water.

Within the media is a protected surface which enables colonies of bacteria to naturally follow their lifecycle, of maturing, dying and then fuelling the latter stages of the nitrification cycle. All Bio-Plas filtration media can be used in either a.

Bio-Plas Filtration Sacks have been designed for use with filtration media, each sack will neatly contain 20 liters of filtration media. The Filter Webb is one of the best products for polishing the water and for the size of the Filter Webb the surface area it offers to catch micro-particles is amazing. Super easy to easy to clean, just pop the Filter Webb in to a clean bucket of water and plunge up and down a few times and it will release the fine particles it has trapped, repeat till the water is clean.

This Filter Webb works the same was as foam but better, not only does it offer more filtration capability but due to its design it is really easy to clean all the fibers/pours of the webb, unlike foam. Filter webb 300 = 300mm dia/100mm in depth Filter webb 450 = 450mm dia/100mm in depth. The Filter Grids are made of non-toxic polypropylene so are ideal to use as baffle boards and filter media support trays, the open grid design allows a free flow of water and will give excellent strength and support. The filter grid is easy to cut making it ideal if the user has a round tank/filter. Filter Grid size L 680mm x W 400mm x D 12mm. The Multi Grid is a carefully designed clip-together Filter Grid that requires no additional fastenings or fixtures but gives excellent strength and support.

Regardless of the size of the application, the Multi Grid can be connected together to make a grid to suit. Ideal for large baffle boards, filter media support trays in filter systems and dividers in grow tanks the open grid design allows a free flow of water. The Multi Grid is easy to cut making it ideal if the user has a round tank/filter.

Manufactured from a transparent Polymer, ideal for dividers in a tropical fish tank. Filter grid Topper has been designed to reduce the grid size on the popular filter grid. The original grid size is 18mm x 18mm; the addition of the Grid Topper kit will reduce the grid size down to 7mm x 7mm. This is ideal if you are using a small/fine media in your systems. One Grid Topper kit is meant for one filter grid (680mm x W 400mm x D 12mm) the Grid Topper kit sits just shy of the outside edge of the grid.

What Comes With The Kit? The kit is supplied with 5 Grid Toppers (130mm x 383mm) and 10 pairs of Clips. The kit will have to be assembled once arrived. The clips come in two halves that simply push/snap together, please note once the clips have been secured to each other they are not designed to come apart and you risk breaking them. The strainer will stop large debris from going into the actual filter.

The strainer has been designed to be attached to any 110mm/4 fitting; the strainer cage is manufactured with a joining spigot of 110mm OD. All 110mm/4 fittings such as bends and tees will mount directly onto the strainer itself (if you require any further information on sizing please look at our pipe identification chart supplied).

The strainer can also prevent fish from disappearing through the pipework. This strainer is also perfect for using in-between ports/inlets in your filter. Stopping any media from leaving its intended chamber.

The strainer has been designed to be cleaned/maintained easily. Simply remove the 4 threaded nuts from the top plate of the strainer; this will give access to the inside. The range of strainer cages are supplied with a range of different fittings to suite most requirements, please select the configuration that is required from the drop down menu. Due to popular demand, the large Multi Strainer cage has been brought to the market. The multi-strainer enables two or more strainer cages to be joined together. Ideal for large filter beds or grow tanks. The connectors of each strainer simply push together; the addition of a non-toxic solvent weld adhesive will ensure a permanent fit.

Please note: 1 Multi Strainer will be included but will need the addition of one of the large round strainer kits. The strainer has been designed to be attached to any 2/56mm rigid pipe, with the addition of a removable nut.

This allows for a secure/tight fit but is easy to clean by just unthreading the nut. Stopping any media from leaving its intended chamber in filters such as moving beds. The kit will come supplied with the removable strainer, 56mm-56mm internal joiner and a 56mm threaded tank connector. The kit will come unassembled so this enables the customer to choose a configuration appropriate for the application that they need.
