Remember that your finished base may be bigger than the size you ordered because the grids are all 50cm x 50cm. For a 6ft x 4ft greenhouse, for example, you will receive 12 grids, which will measure 6ft 6 x 5ft when assembled. You can cut them back to size, but they look equally good with a visible edge. All dips, holes and really soft ground needs to be packed firmly with soil, sand or other suitable medium. Lay your membrane to prevent unwanted weeds growing up into your greenhouse. If it is breezy, hold down the edges temporarily with bricks or similar. (It won't move once the pebbles are in the pockets and/or the building is erected). Use a board across the grids to kneel on while you are working.

Don't worry if the circle or squiggles at the bottom of the pocket get damaged. They won't make any difference to the strength or look of the finished base.
